The real star of La Amalia will always be the farm’s spectacular natural riches. Each of La Amalia’s rocks, rivers, creeks, waterfalls, fields, trees and lakes will be mapped along with the birds, bees, flowers and fauna that inhabits this mountain oasis. A special m-app of La Amalia’s flora and fauna will be available for visitors that want to appreciate every aspect of La Amalia’s very special surroundings.

Swim Club & Spa

The property’s privileged aquifer and underground water reserves will feed La Amalia’s luxury swim club, spa, natural lake and white sand beach, especially created for sun worshipers – make this a prestigious place for hydrotherapeutic-themed rest and recuperation. An international operator will be brought in to convert La Amalia’s aquatic riches into a paradise for pampering. An Olympic-sized pool, Turkish-style Hamam, hot tubs, Jacuzzis, refreshing waterfalls and a natural lake with its own beach, are among the myriad H20ptions at La Amalia. There will be 4-6 treatment rooms for Ayurvedic and Swedish massages and for those that want to work on their yoga practise there’s limitless places to re-charge the body’s batteries and soak up the world’s best climate. It’s summer all-year-round in La Amalia.

At the centre of La Amalia’s holistic re-birth are the bamboo structures of Simon Velez. His particular brand of vegetarian architecture will bind the project together. Velez’ organic architectural interventions weave naturally through La Amalia’s eco-system, providing Zen walkways between two lakes, a waterfall and the bamboo deck and a beach bar that will be planted in La Amalia’s natural habitat.

Coffee Tours & Heritage Center

La Amalia’s bamboo centrepiece will be a 250 sq m temple to Colombian coffee and La Amalia’s heritage. A museum dedicated to the holy brew, the La Amalia Coffee Heritage Center, will offer a full immersion into Colombian coffee culture, including the growing, roasting and preparation of the perfect cup of Joe. Explore La Amalia’s historic role in opening the world’s eyes to the uplifting properties of Colombian caffeine and take your own piece of La Amalia heritage home with you.

An Un-Conventional Center

Its unique qualities make La Amalia a remarkable place for inspired meetings. A totally unconventional convention center, will be buried into the mountain to provide a sui generis destination for meetings, incentives, conferences and events. This isn’t your typical events space, this is a special place for people that want to think outside the box in a creative environment that will inspire colleagues, customers, clients and followers alike.

La Amalia’s Global Gathering Center will have the capacity to host meetings of up to 200 people.
